Wireless Week reports about the first “brick and mortar” distribution agreement of Xingtone with Roxio, a division of Sonic Solutions® (NASDAQ:SNIC).

Roxio has agreed to market and distribute Xingtone’s ringtone software at retail stores. Roxio said it was attracted to Xingtone’s products for its ease of use and its over-the-air capabilities.

Under the terms of the deal, Roxio has signed up for worldwide distribution of the Xingtone Ringtone Creator software. Several carriers, including T-Mobile and Cingular Wireless, support Xingtone’s carrier-independent business plan to enable cell phone users to download MP3 or WAV files from their computers and turn them into a 30-second ringtone.

Another little share out of the operators’ revenue cut soon…
