Yesterday I received my Joost beta invitation from Kosmar and my first impression is just W.A.W. Joost is an interactive software for distributing TV shows and other forms of video over the Web. Build by ‘disruptive’ internet entrepreneurs Janus Friis and Niklas Zennström best known for co-founding the file-sharing application KaZaA, and the peer-to-peer telephony application Skype.
Joost isn’t just video on the internet – it’s the next generation of television for viewers, content owners and advertisers everywhere. The interface looks really GREAT, the quality impressive; I am able to choose, share and watch global channels whenever I want and invite friends to discover interesting shows, and chat about it from the same interface, you dig?
mTrends readers, give me a wink if you want an invitation to the beta. Already thinking about how Joost could be made interactive for/from the mobile phone… never too early to wonder, isn’t it?

Hi!
I read your blog almost daily and now I saw that you have gotten your Joost beta invitation.
It would be nice if you could send me an invite for Joost…
Thanks,

Rudy,
joost seems to be very unaccessible: it’s strong to get an invite. I try with you, so please, can you send me an invite? Thanks a lot.
Pao
Hi Rudy,
I heard about Joost a couple of months back and have been waiting to check it out since. Lets hope it does for VOD what Skype did for VOIP.
I’d appreciate an invite.
Cheers
Alex

[...] I got a lot of requests for my postings on Joost and Dopplr invites, a lot of them send anonymous or without relevant introduction; please take some time to introduce yourself or your project, it will be easier for me to know a bit more about YOU and to who I send my invitations. Hello Rudy – As part of the Interactive Television group of ATAS (emmys.org), we are always seeking out the pioneers of next-gen platforms. In fact, we are in our “Call for Entries” period with a deadline of May 30. Please send me the beta link as I would love to personally peruse the app. And I would encourage anyone with an interactive TV application, mobile or otherwise, to submit an entry for an Emmy award consideration. Many thanks, Linda
