2011 is definately a conference year for me. After DLD Conference in Munich and Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, this week I’m off for a five-week trip to the US. Feel free to contact me to meet or follow me as mtrends on twitter for latest updates. You can also follow me on Plancast to see which sessions or side events I’ll be attending.

Here’s a rough schedule of the events I’m attending:

March 10-18:  SXSW – South by South West, Austin, TX.

Present with AppCircus to do some showcases at the Circus Mashimus Lounge with the AppCircus All Stars (previous AppCircus winners) on March 12-13 and organizing an AppCircus showcase on March 14th at 2pm of 12 exciting app pitches in front of a live jury including some great mobile folks from Ditto, foursquare, Rovio Mobile and Smule. Promising to be one of the most exciting AppCircus events of this spring, definately not to be missed!

March 20-24: CTIA Wireless 2011, Orlando, FL.

Will be attending the show and we’re working on setting up an AppCircus here too, stay tuned on AppCircus blog or @AppCircus on Twitter for latest details on this event.

March 28-31: Web 2.0 Expo, San Francisco, CA.

Now in its fifth year, Web 2.0 Expo is for the builders of the next-generation web: designers, developers, entrepreneurs, marketers, and business strategists. I’ll be meeting lots of people in San Francisco this week and I hope to pick up some good ideas and input at the conference.

April 6: New Digital Economics Executive Brainstorm & Developer Forum, Palo Alto, CA.

Present with AppCircus to do a showcase at the New Digital Economics AMERICAS Executive Brainstorm and Developer Forum, a unique event that looks at the how – through open innovation – the communications industry can better support the growth of the wider ‘digital economy’.

It builds on the strategic themes researched and developed by the Telco 2.0 Initiative and is designed for senior strategy execs from the telecoms, media and technology sectors who are in charge of or involved in new growth initiatives.

All info on the AppCircus we’re running in partnership with the New Digital Economics in Palo Alto can be found here. If you’d like to pitch at this event, you can register with your app here.

April 1-8: Singularity University – Exponential Technologies Executive Program, NASA Ames in Silicon Valley, CA.

And last but not the least, I’ll be attending the 7-Day Exponential Technologies Executive Program at the Singularity University. The most exciting innovations and breakthrough concepts are currently happening in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, Energy and Environmental Systems, Medicine and Neuroscience, Nanotechnology, and Networks and Computing Systems. Thanks to Yuri Van Geest for his enthusiasm getting me here. I’m excited to attend this one and to learn more about what’s coming next!

So, stay tuned and feel free to contact me to meet or follow me as mtrends on twitter for latest updates on this trip!
